The International Four-H Youth Exchange Foundation of the USA,

in 1997 as a non-profit organization. The Foundation holds a

the 1986 Internal Revenue Code as amended.
The purpose of the IFYE Foundation is to raise funds to finance
the continued growth of the International Four-H Youth Exchange
programs. The vision is to maintain support for existing exchange
programs and expand such support on a yearly basis.
The Foundation authorized a level of expenditures in support

- Twenty
4-H members and volunteers from Poland were hosted in Indiana
- one chaperone
went to Finland with ten youth and four chaperones went to
Japan with 51 youth
- six inbound
IFYEs and the two Montana outbound IFYEs assisted with an
international workshop for 100 youth and an International
Dinner for 500
- support was provided to bring the keynote speaker for the
2007 Annual IFYE Association Conference held in Oregon
- support
was provided for the International Evening at the National
4-H Club Congress in Atlanta in November 2006, attended by
about 1,100 delegates
- in
late fall of 2006, a 2006 grant supported a Finnish representative,
who led a workshop (25 persons) and hosted a booth (75 persons)
at the annual International Program Committee/WorldWise Fall
Coordinators Conference
Foundation
assets as of August 31, 2007 were $90,299.
- The Foundation
sponsors a planned giving program to assist the IFYE family
in considering their estate planning, bequests in their wills
or gifts of insurance and other assets which may be used
to support the long range future of the IFYE program.
- An annual
fund raising campaign is conducted among the IFYE alumni
and program supporters. (See
html letter from IFYE Foundation President, Norm Bauer or
as a PDF).
- Corporate
and foundation resources are also being solicited.
The Foundation,
as a separate and incorporated non-profit corporation, functions
under a board of directors, representative of the IFYE community.
