IFYE Orientation/Welcome Program

June 18-20, 2005
Judson College, Elgin, Illinois, U.S.A.

Objectives:
IFYE's: Attending the United States orientation will:

Begin their cross-cultural experience and become acquainted with new young people from other countries
Reinforce their understanding and commitment to IFYE Program objectives, expectations and procedures.
Clarify their own personal goals for their exchange experience and share them with other participants and program leaders.
Enhance their awareness and acceptance of cultural differences as well as hone their skills for living in another culture.
Prepare for safe international travel and carrying out sharing experiences when they return home.
Experience some local culture, sights and sounds in the Chicago Area.
