IFYE
Grants
Each
year, the IFYE Association Provides 4-H World Understanding
Grants to enhance interest in international understanding amongst
youth in local communities. Seed Money Grants of $50 to $200
are
available. Proposals must be received by
April 15th of each year.
Grants
are made in two categories:
Proposed projects
must be realistic, well thought out, involve both youth and adults
in activities which promote 4-H cross-cultural understanding,
and be presented in accordance with the attached mini-grant
application. Individuals or groups, such as volunteer 4-H
leaders, Extension Professionals, 4-H Clubs, State IFYE Associations,
teen leaders, county teen councils and collegiate 4-H clubs are
encouraged to apply.
Plan your project
and then apply for a mini-grant to help fund it. Send proposals
at least two months prior to your international activity, as a
national committee must approve the application. The number of
grants and amount awarded depends upon monies available.
Please mail applications
to the address indicated in the Grant Application PDF
A listing of previous
grant recipients and their projects is available from the address
indicated on the Grant Application PDF.
NOTE: Mini-grant funds cannot be used to pay for fees or expenses
for current or future IFYE, LABO, or other 4-H exchange program
participation, or for IFYE Alumni social events, or for activities
which harbor no cross-cultural education.
An important requirement of the grant is that a final report
including pictures (print or slides) must be submitted no later
than one month following project completion. This report will
provide a model for future 4-H World Understanding Projects.
